The Baptism of Christ

The principal aim of this composition, was to show Christ immediately after his baptism by John, looking up to see the Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove.
The Holy Spirit is reflected on the water in John's bowl, as an anachronistic reminder of the Holy Spirit's presence in our own baptism.
